Allow me a few brief comments on some things that have happened while I was moving all 156 posts from my old blog over here:
First they came for the government whistleblowers…
SCOTUS to federal employees wanting to expose corruption: No protection for you! Come back, 40 year!
Zen and the Art of Winger Distillation - Part 2
Shorter John Stossel: Price gouging is the American way, and anyone who engages in it deserves a medal! In fact, gaming the system for your own personal gain is the most patriotic thing one can do!
Alternately: Kenneth "Kenny Boy" Lay is the most patriotic American on the face of the earth (next to the Most Holy George W. Christ)!
BTW, the fine folks at Sadly, No! have a wonderful fisking of this calumny…er, column.
Converting the Heathens by the Sword: Great gaming, and great practice for the Glorious Revolution!
Purpose-Driven eliminationist fantasies give conservative theocrats a stiffy.
If you still think the media has a "librul" bias, get your head examined.
Over at Media Matters, Jamison Foser has two pieces about how the media throws only softballs at conservatives, and rakes liberals over the coals for the most ridiculous of reasons. (hat tip, Christy Hardin Smith over at Firedoglake. Also, be sure to check out Jane Hamsher’s four-part series on the smear-boating of Congressman John Murtha - I, II, III, IV)
Eric Boehlert, author of Lapdogs : How the Press Rolled Over for Bush, ripped Slate’s Jacob Weisberg a new one for his hit piece on the all-important contents of Hillary Clinton’s iPod. He would soon go on to do the same to Washington Post ombudsman Michael Getler for the latter’s pearl-clutching screed against the former’s book.
