Again - WHO SAID they praised OBL? So far its the word of at least four hyper-paranoid passengers versus that of six imams. Who are we supposed to believe? For that reason alone, the lawsuit should be laughed out of court like the Loofah King-instigated Faux "News" suit against Al Franken. BUT at the same time, I can't help seeing history repeat itself. Between the FBI's recent admission of "accidentally" abusing the National Security Letters power provided by the Patriot Act, and Congress legislating away habeas corpus in the Military Commissions Act of 2006, there have been some serious abridgements of rights, even if I personally haven't been affected. Need I remind you of Pastor Martin Niemöller's poem "First they came for the Jews?" But if the words of a Holocaust survivor won't move you, perhaps these words by the Founding Fathers themselves will.

"We are right to take alarm at the first experiment upon our liberties."
- James Madison

"It is a universal truth that the loss of liberty at home is to be charged to the provisions against danger, real or pretended, from abroad."
- James Madison

"Oppose with manly firmness ANY invasions on the rights of the people."
- Thomas Jefferson, Draft Virginia Constitution (1776)

"Where an excess of power prevails, property of no sort is duly respected. No man is safe in his opinions, his person, his faculties, or his posessions."
- James Madison, essay in the National Gazette, 03/27/1792

"There are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations."
- James Madison, speech to the Virginia Ratifying Convention, 06/16/1788

Well, the people on the plane said they praised OBL. I have yet to hear from a passenger that said they didn't approve of the complaints but I have heard from at least 4, who didn't complain, but said they were as uncomfortable as those who did voice complaints. If the info is so sketchy, why are passengers being sued? Honestly, do you approve of that? Stop the melodrama, what rights of yours have been abridged? Mainlining oxycontin? Focus students.

Who said they "praised Osama bin Laden"? The voices in your head that tell you to kill all the Muslims? These six imams who had signed onto a fatwa declaring it the duty of ALL Muslims to FOLLOW LOCAL LAWS AND AID LAW ENFORCEMENT?
So far, we have sketchy information at best of what went on, but consider that the last time Muslims were pulled off a plane, it was on the word of a drunk. Let's also remember that anonymous denouncements are a tool of totalitarian states, and the United States is, last time I checked, still a democracy, sometimes only barely.
So tell me, just WHO is the idiot here. Maybe you shouldn't be mainlining all that OxyContin.

So, if, 6 Muslims acted the way the 6 imams acted on that day - you wouldn't be suspicious? You would have been so at ease when they praised Osama Bin Laden. You wouldn't have minded when they asked for seat belt extenders. You wouldn't have minded that a group positioned themselves much like the 9/11 hijackers.

Sounds like you are stupid then.
