France catches Red State America Fever
Conservative candidate Nicolas Sarkozy Arc de Triomphe’d over Socialist candidate Segolene Royal in a runoff election for France’s highest elective office this weekend. Sarko’s margin of victory - 53% to 47% - was similar to the margin for The Most Holy George W. Christ when he “won” re-election.
So, now that France has a guy who loves every single thing Bush does running the show, will Bill-O call off his boycott of France? Don’t bet on it. France-bashing is yet another perennial conservative sport - right alongside inciting violence against liberals.
