So a Z-List blogger and a blog celebrity walk into a bar…
It was a pleasant surprise to find Amanda Marcotte of Pandagon joining the Drinking Liberally regulars at The Dog and Duck Pub this evening. And while I geeked out upon seeing her by whoring my blog (much like the time I ran into “Macho Man” Randy Savage at a sushi bar in Albuquerque, NM several years ago, except without the blog-whoring part) and had trouble getting a word in edgewise when she and fellow Austin DL’er Neil Sinhababu got a serious policy discussion going - topics ranged from how to turn Texas blue to how irrevocably intertwined the issue of class is with just about every other thing liberals care about - the presence of a famous feminist blogger definitely added to an already excellent evening of Bush-bashing.
Incidentally, Amanda, if you’re reading this, I have just one (probably silly RTFM-level) question to ask: is Molly a Bombay? I ask because I’ve been wanting to get a Bombay of my own for a while now, and I may finally be able to afford to do so at some point with my new job.
