If I could sum up the Roberts-Scalito Supreme Court in one cartoon:

And as others have put it much more eloquently than me, given this Supreme Court’s recent middle finger to the notions of stare decisis, equal protection for women and minorities, religious freedom and getting the corrupting influence of money out of elections (insofar as liberals benefit from said removal), I would not trust them to rule in accordance with the Constitution in the upcoming Gitmo cases. Roberts and Scalito, who owe their positions on the bench to Bush, should recuse themselves for conflict of interest reasons.
But, unfortunately, they won’t, so expect a 5-4 decision requiring that all Muslims currently living in the United States report immediately to extermination camps joycamps - for the crime of being non-Christian, apparently.
