MSRNC: Bush commutes Libby sentence.

I’m outraged, but hardly suprised by this decision. From Day One, this administration has been all about making sure that they can’t be held accountable for anything they do. And now, Bush has effectively placed him and his cronies above the reach of any law by doing this. We no longer live in a democracy. Welcome to the Dictatorship of Bush, where the law of the land is criminals like “Scooter” Libby go free, wiretaps for you and me.

ABC: Secret Document: U.S. Fears Terror ‘Spectacular’ Planned

John Aravosis comments: I assume that means we can plan on Bush taking a vacation some time soon.

I seem to recall that around the same time that The Most Holy George W. Christ announced his initial decision on stem cell research that “glorious” pre-9/11 summer, there were news reports that al-Qaeda was planning a “spectacular” attack on America. Bush went on vacation, received (and subsequently ignored) the 6 Aug., 2001 PDB, and about a month later…


Given the sequence of events following the last time a “spectacular” attack on America was predicted (assuming I’m not off base on the news reports prior to 9/11), I can’t shake the feeling that we’ll be hit again on The Most Holy George W. Christ’s watch, and he’ll use the opportunity to assume the dictatorial powers he’s already laid out for himself in the event of a terrorist incident in America.

Please. Tell me I’m wrong on this. I want to be wrong on this. I don’t want the country I was raised to love and defend to go down into the darkness.
