So, let’s review: when the Republicans were in charge the media decided, simply because the Republicans said so, that filibusters were a Very Bad Thing, and something which the Democrats were engaged in. Now that the Democrats are in charge, the media still thinks that filibusters are a Very Bad Thing … and because they’re bad, it must still be the Democrats who are engaging in it.
The Republicans, after all, cannot possibly be doing anything that the media disapproves of.
