Another Stereotype Bites the Dust

<wingnut>What’s that? A Rethuglican has been charged with funding and laundering money for militant Muslims and al Qaeda types? That’s unpossible!!! Everyone knows that only “libruls” are traitors to ‘Murka!!!11!!!</wingnut>

On a serious note, you just know that if former Rep. Mark Siljander had had a “D” after his name, Michelle MalKKKin and her ilk would be calling him all sorts of nasty names and calling for him to be shoved into human-sized microwaves, right alongside every single last solitary Muslim on the face of the planet.

But because the perp is a Republican, the worst she can come up with is “bastard.”

Sidebar: Perhaps the only reason that Malkin is mad at Rep. Siljander is PRECISELY BECAUSE his indictment blows such a large hole in the Eternal Librul™ stereotype.

Meanwhile, her commenters apparently consider Speaker Pelosi’s changing of the menu in the House cafeteria more treasonous than one of their own helping fund real, live terrorists.

Pa-the-tic.

Carnival of Banality

And so it goes. Brian Williams and Tim Russert once again managed to demean the process of the presidential debates by focusing on the trivial and the banal. I have to think that Russert was not happy that Dennis Kucinich was disinvited. I’m sure he would’ve loooved to ask the Ohio congressman if Bob Lazar is his hero.

Good Lord, can we fast-forward to the conventions, please?
