The Invisible Man*

Perhaps the only thing that’s been more pathetic about the “librul” media’s coverage of the primary season than Chris Matthews’ blatant sexism vis a vis Sen. Clinton (among other things) and the obsessive focus on banality and trivia instead of real, pressing issues, has been the treatment of Senator John Edwards. When they haven’t been actively ignoring his campaign, they’ve erupted in full-blown Edwards Derangement Syndrome.

So I was quite pleased to see that the Edwards campaign has launched a video criticizing the “librul” media for their minimizing his presence in the Democratic primaries, as though he were “the unofficial Very Silly candidate (in the slab of concrete)” (hat tip, TPM via Crooks and Liars):

* With apologies to…no. On second thought, I won’t apologize to 98°. Their music sucks. And yes, that marks me as an IMS - so sue me.

Un-Mitt-igated Disaster

Willard Romney, candidate for the GOP nod for POTUS in 2008, goes off on Associated Press reporter Glen Johnson for calling bullshit on his claim that lobbyists aren’t running his campaign (Shorter Romney: “It depends on what the definition of ‘lobbyist’ is.”)

You could even say that Romney was accusing Johnson of “Mitt-picking.”

And as an added bonus, Romney seeks out Johnson after the photo-op to give him yet another earful!

Word of warning: The audio starts to get out-of-synch with the video about 15-20 seconds in.

Now that’s what I call com-Mitt-ment! You could say that this exchange was Mitt-for-tat.

Okay, that’s my time. I’m here all week, tell your friends! Try the veal!

Sidebar: If you think those puns are bad, you should see what happens when my dad and Uncle Larry are in the same room!
