Financial Times: Lieberman on McCain VP Short List
Read it and weep. The money quote:
“[McCain] loves Lieberman*. And he is on the [short-]list because Lieberman has never embarrassed anyone, never misspoken. The first rule is, don’t take someone who costs you votes,” said one McCain adviser.
Actually, I beg to differ, Mr. Unnamed McCain Adviser! Slummy Joe has been a constant embarrassment since, oh, about 9/11, when he took up the GOP’s cause célébre — The Final Solution to The Muslim Problem™®©.
