On Indefinite Hiatus

You’ll notice that I haven’t been very active lately. Believe me, I would’ve had some rather spicy things to say about the events of the last week, but unfortunately, something came up at about the same time.

You see, I’ve been fighting a losing battle with depression for several years now, and on Monday, well…things finally came to a head. I won’t bore you with the details, but needless to say, it’s forced me to reassess my priorities.

So until I get my head back on straight, I will be stepping back from blogging and (most) things political. I appreciate all the support I’ve received in my 3+ years of blogging (all two of you!), and I hope I can come back to it at some point in the future. For now, though, I’m going to take some time for myself and see if I can pick up the pieces and move on from there.

Before I go, though, I do have one parting shot to take. Some idiot wrote the local fishwrap to say this about the Democratic women’s caucus handing out anti-John McCain condoms at the DNC last week:

Motion to dismiss

I have two words to express my thoughts on the passing out of condoms at the Democratic convention.

NO CLASS.

Right. And I suppose Pat believes this to be the height of class:
