Republican Hagiography 2.o: And so, it begins…
You know how Republicans everywhere have spent the last 20 years naming everything that wasn’t nailed down after St. Ronnie “Red Ink” Reagan? Well, now some idiot in Midland wants to start doing the same for The Most Holy George W. Christ the Infallible (h/t, Pam Spaulding):
Texas lawmakers are pushing to name a Midland courthouse for former President George W. Bush, although he would have to share the honor with his dad and a longtime Democratic congressman.
[…]
Rep. Michael Conaway, R-Midland — Bush’s longtime friend and former accountant — is pushing the idea. All 20 Texas Republicans in the U.S. House have signed on, as well as 10 of the 12 Texas Democrats.
If you ask me — not that my opinion matters a hill of beans to these jackoffs — after the mess Bush has made of this country, the only buildings that ought to be named after him are sewage treatment plants.
Thankfully, I’m not alone in this line of thought.

A sewage treatment plant! LOL, yeah. I can just see it: The George W Bush Excrementorium”.

Sadly, I think that few people would want to work at The George W. Bush Excrematorium. It’s a nice thought, though.

Isolated biosolids discarded by my city’s water treatment plant have been refused entry into the US for disposal because they were found to be radioactive; I wonder how to go about suggesting that the nation’s capital raw sewage treatment plant be named the Stephen Harper Excrematorium …
