Oh, blow me, sayeth Lt. Col. Ralph Peters (Ret.):


PETERS: Now look, Julie [BANDERAS, FOX NEWS REPORTER], I want to be clear. If, when the facts are in, we find out that through some convoluted chain of events, he really was captured by the Taliban, I’m with him. But, if he walked away from his post and his buddies at wartime… I don’t care how hard it sounds, as far as I’m concerned, the Taliban can save us a lot of legal hassles and legal bills.

And in other news, liberals hate the troops and want them to die. Or so I heard.

Sidebar: I find it rather telling that Julie Banderas didn’t really challenge Lt. Col. Peters on his outrageous remarks. Could it be because Fox thinks that this will hurt Obama? Only Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdoch know for sure. So tell us, Rupert, is it official Fox policy to wish for the troops’ deaths in an effort to hurt the President politically? ‘Cause that’s rather contemptible, or so Sean Hannity keeps telling us…
