Phyllis Schlafly: One Note Charlie

Shorter Longer Phyllis Schlafly:

  • Do you realize that in addition to fluoridating water, why, there are studies underway to fluoridate salt, flour, fruit juices, soup, sugar, milk, ice cream? Ice cream, Huckabee? Children’s ice cream!…You know when fluoridation began?…1792. 1792, Huckabee. How does that coincide with your post-Enlightenment feminazi conspiracy, huh? It’s incredibly obvious, isn’t it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual, and certainly without any choice. That’s the way your hard-core feminazi works.

There Will Be Fetus Fetishist Persecution Highs

I can’t really add too much to what JJ said about the senseless double-homicide in Owosso, Michigan, but I will say this: the fact that the Coerced Delivery Brigade is trying to equate this with the EIGHT victims of anti-abortion terrorism says a lot about the value they place on the life of OB/GYNs who perform abortion versus the value of the lives of their membership. One Fetus Fetishist is worth at least eight Dr. Tillers, in the eyes of these people.

To make matters worse, some Fetus Fetishists are deliberately ignoring the condemnations of the violence from pro-choice bloggers in order to shriek “Where are the feminazis?” They neither know nor care that some of us would prefer to wait for ALL of the facts to come in before offering anything beyond the standard “We condemn all abortion-related violence, no matter which side it comes from,” as if our “silence” were somehow more contemptible than the flood of verbal coprophilia that was tweeted by the Coerced Delivery Brigade in the aftermath of Dr. Tiller’s murder.

I BELIEVE THIS PROVES MY POINT: If this New York Times article is true, then indeed Mr. Pouillon’s views were at issue in his murder. In which case, his murder was indeed the despicable act of a coward, just as much as the murder of Dr. Tiller was the despicable act of a coward. See how easy that was, Fetus Fetishists? No need to resort to this “He was a mass murderer who got what he deserved!” bullshit. (I’m looking at you, Randall Terry!)

CURIOUSER AND CURIOUSER: AP says that abortion had nothing to do with the murder of Mr. Pouillon. This is why saying anything beyond “All abortion-related political violence is to be condemned, and anyone who engages in it needs to be put away for a really long time,” before all the facts come out is just partisan masturbation.

Funny, I would’ve suspected a brain tumor…

I didn’t even know Pat Robertson had a heart:

Pat Robertson, 79, on mend after heart surgery

RICHMOND, Va. — Pat Robertson’s lead surgeon says he expects the 79-year-old religious broadcaster to make a full recovery from surgery to correct an irregular heart beat.

Robertson is back at home in Virginia Beach after his release last week from a hospital in North Carolina. He ultimately will be fitted with a heart monitor.

Dr. Andy C. Kiser (KEYE’-zer) said Robertson underwent the 10-hour surgical procedure at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, N.C., to repair an atrial fibrillation.

In a separate but related procedure, doctors also removed an abnormally enlarged left appendage on Robertson’s heart. They believe the growth contributed to Robertson’s atrial fibrillation.

Must be nice to have access to the best health care Charles Taylor’s ill-gotten gold can buy.

THIS is injecting politics into Kennedy funeral

As I mentioned on Twitter earlier, the Coerced Delivery Brigade is demanding veto power over Sen. Kennedy’s funeral arrangements:

WASHINGTON, D.C., August 28, 2009 (LieSiteNews.com) — The director of the pro-life group Citizens for a Pro-Life Society (CPLS) is calling on pro-lifers across America to respectfully [“Respectfully,” my ass! — Ed.] urge Cardinal Sean O’Malley of the Boston Archdiocese not to allow the passing of notorious pro-abortion advocate Sen. Ted Kennedy to be honored with a public Catholic funeral.

Following the death of Sen. Ted Kennedy of brain cancer Tuesday night, a funeral mass has been scheduled for Saturday morning at Boston’s Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, where President Obama is expected to deliver the eulogy.

Sadly, this is the logical extension of Pope Benedict Arnold I’s habit of meddling in other countries’ domestic affairs. It’s tawdry, it’s disgusting, and it’s really inhumane.

And that, more than a mortal politician’s failings (real and imaginary), makes Baby Jeebus weep.

Earth to “Father” Frank Pavone:

If Americans don’t want the healthcare debate hijacked by abortion, then why the FUCK do YOU keep dragging abortion into it?! Don’t you have some child-fucking priests to protect from legal sanction?

Shorter Randall Terry:

  • Say, how’s that democracy working out for ya? Good? That’s good. It’d be a shame if somethin’ was to happen to it. ‘Cause, y’know, stuff happens to countries who don’t play ball — that don’t pass laws requiring women to be barefoot and constantly pregnant in the kitchen…in burqas. Civil war and domestic terrorism — stuff like that. Just sayin’.

Laura Ingraham, terrorist enabler

Note to Ms. Ingraham: If you want people to believe that the coerced-birth movement is not at all interested in doctor snuffing, YOU DON’T PULL SHIT LIKE THIS:

Dave Neiwert’s assessment of the above segment is right on:

And the same sort of anecdotal demonization that characterized O’Reilly’s attacks on Tiller were similarly at play in this segment on Planned Parenthood. It essentially involved an ambush team using a youngish-seeming woman posing as a 14-year-old entering a variety of Planned Parenthood clinics and recording the responses — most of which, as described by the fake teen here, actually fit the standard response of most properly run clinics in trying to make sure that younger patients feel at ease.

The overriding message, once again, is that these abortion providers are a pack of morally depraved sickos who deserve to be in the crosshairs. Lovely.

And to make matters worse, this not-so-subtle promotion of anti-abortion terrorism is founded on a pack of lies. Is this what 30-plus years of anti-abortion activism has devolved to?

What goes around comes around

Operation Doctor Snuffing is up to their old tricks again. They are reprising their anti-Tiller tactics in an effort to get Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning to investigate harass Dr. LeRoy Carhart. Since turnabout is fair play, I decided to turn Operation Assassination’s tactic against them. Using their letter as a model, I wrote a letter to both Nebraska AG Bruning and (with slight modifications) to Attorney General Eric Holder. The text of the letter to AG Bruning is below the fold.

Holy Fsckbeans!

Over at Jill “Obama Treats Flies Better Than T3h Bay-beez” Stanek’s Doctor-Snuffing Roadhouse Bar & Grill, they’ve come up with all new inflammatory rhetoric to heave at abortion providers like verbal Molotov cocktails:

Taliban committing postbirth abortions

Pro-aborts should have no trouble with this, since they already support the killing of preborn children pretty much the same way. From the Washington Times today:

[Long cite of Moonie Times article on Taliban commander in Pakistan recruiting children for suicide attacks omitted — Ed.]

Just about all will consider these acts sickening and despicable. Pro-lifers feel the same about abortions. The only differences are the children described in this article are a few years older than children aborted, and you can see them, while you don’t see children being aborted.

That’s right. In Jill Stanek’s fevered brain, if you’re a doctor who provides abortions or are merely a person who supports the legality of abortion, you are no better than the Taliban and deserve to be shot on sight. Never mind that Jill Stanek and her stable of Scott Roeder wannabes have more in common with the Taliban than your average abortion provider — namely, the desire to create a worldwide oppressive theocratic state where women (including Miss Stanek) are little more than chattel.

And that’s not all on the abortion front. Today we find this bit of Scientology-esque brainwashing from Gadsden, Alabama:

It’s an eye-catching sight — 945 dolls attached to stakes with ribbons or cable ties lining a field next to Goodyear Heights Baptist Church off [REDACTED].

The dolls are the visual element of a protest against abortion spearheaded by the church’s Kenny Christian Encouragers Sunday School class.

Cindy Gilley, whose husband, Mike, is the class’s teacher, came up with the idea.

“I had seen other displays where people used crosses, but the Lord showed me that wasn’t enough,” she said.

No, you need a high-powered rifle with a scope for it to be enough, right? emoticon

Rather than dialing down on the rhetoric in the wake of Dr. Tiller’s murder — something that any sane, rational, non-terrorist public-interest group would do after one of their own has crossed the Moral Event Horizon™ — it seems that the Zygote Zealots are doubling down on their hate-filled ragegasms.

Amanda Marcotte to the white courtesy phone, please…

Alberta MLA (the Canadian equivalent of a state-level legislator) Doug Elinski is apparently perfectly fine with the fucked-up, extremely rude practice of running up to random women and screaming “SMILE, DAMMIT!” in their faces.
